Adapted with music by ABBA, the story was of a girl finding her father amidst three possible choices. Her reckless mother in youth dates three men around the same time and gets pregnant. Finding her mother’s diary, she invites all the three possible men to her wedding. After an explosive and emotional reunion, the men stay for the wedding, which never happens. In the end, one of the men proposes and her mother accepts.
Starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and others, the cast was huge and the music was great, yet the movie failed to make no impression on the audience, except the remade songs, inserted at the appropriate moments in the movie. A tolerable movie for ABBA fans but the others can pass it.
