stuart little

Apart from Charlotte's Web, this is another cute story from E.B. White about a little mouse living with humans.
Stuart lives with his family and is more than glad about. He also lives with another pet - a cat. Then, a beautiful bird enters his life. Stuart and the bird become inseparable.
But the cat has evil plans for her. When the bird hears of the warning, she flies away from the house. Stuart is most heartbroken and leaves the comfort of his home in search of his love. Along the way, he becomes a fun substitute teacher, he tries to woo a girl, who is surprisingly also as tall as he is, but his plans go awry.
After all his trials, he still continues on his journey to track his love anyway.
A sweet and easy read. The book was recommended to me by a fellow workmate, when I mentioned the movie Ratatouille to him. I don't know if the story was cuter or the illustrations in the book were cuter. Of course, if the story hadn't been there, there wouldn't have been any illustrations. Anyway, a cute and quick read.
