thamirabarani

Starring Vishal and newcomer Banu, thamirabarani is a racy flick set in a village.
Vishal's family - Prabhu, Rohini and Manorama are ahppy family. However, Vishal is extremely short tempered and resorts to violence frequently.
In business, Prabhu and Nazar's family - Nadhiya, Vijaykumar are always at loggerheads. Vishal warns them many times and even tricks Nadhiya many times.
He gets into an accident with a girl, new to the area and gets attracted to her. But he finds out that she is the daughter of Nadhiya. He decides to take revenge and end up finding out she is in love with him. With a twist of events, he ends up being printed on the paper derogatorily with her.
As a revenge, Nazar's men hurt Prabhu. Seeing him hurt, Vishal leaves to cut up Nazar, but accidently cuts off Nazar's younger brother's hand, who is actually a nice guy. Vishal is remorseful and surrenders, but when he is released, he realises that his enemies are actually his family and now tries very hard to get everyone together, which he does at the end of the movie.
Even though it is kind of annoying to see this thoughtless bloodshed that has been running for centuries in our country's villages, this was a well paced movie with the appropriate amount of cheesiness. I don't know if visual touchups were done for the people in the movie, but all of them looked very good, especially Prabhu and Nadhiya, looked different. Banu was tolerable, although she looked much better with no makeup (scenes where she is crying) than with makeup.
A movie worth a watch.
