Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rimi Sen, Uday Chopra, John Abraham and Esha Deol, the movie was about the cat and mouse chase between a no-nonsense police officer and a group of very smart thieves.
Jai Dixit is haunted by the high tech city thieves that drive in super speed motor bikes and then disappear after their act is committed. The police are never able to track them down or find any clues. So Dixit proposes the only way to catch them is while they do the act.
His department tracks Ali down - a mechanic who takes part in motor bike races. During one of the capturing plans, Ali lets him down as Ali is busy romancing with his love. This causes them to fall apart.
With the capturing plan, one of the thieves is shot down and to get a partner, Kabir (head of thieves) approaches Ali and they make a team. Ali discovers his love, Sheena, is also part of this group.
The team plans their last master heist and they intend to stop all their activities after this one. Somehow, Dixit is also here with his wife. Still they carry on with the plan and Dixit catches them red - handed. Yet, they manage their escape, but finally Dixit and Ali round them up. The last scene was interesting.
The movie was very fast paced and great use of sets and makeup. All of the sets seemed very high tech and new age design. Although I must say the story was flawed in certain parts, very obviously during the last theft. The way they described the vault being heavily guarded and secured and the guys had to was get to the bathroom above the vault and blast the ceiling open? That was a little odd. And when one of the thieves gets an imported car and Kabir drives it into a cliff and then claims they can't have the car cause it is not something afforded out of a waiter's salary, but they can have imported motorbikes with high speed engines? And they couldn't hide the car, but they could hide that huge truck they used to 'disappear' during a chase? After the first theft, Jai mentioned about checking the lights by a computer expert, but the results were never mentioned over the course of the movie. But nevertheless, the story moved on.
The best part of the movie was probably the music and dance - absolutely foot tapping and thumping. My favourite was the Latina song - great dancing. A great movie to watch for an eventful 2 hours.
