The third part of this mutant comic strip movie, showed how the humans eventually accepted the mutants as part of their society.
Flashback starts the movie when Dr.X and Magneto visited little Jean (Dr. Jean Grey), when she was a young girl enjoying her mutant powers. Scott is still unable to forget Jean and goes back to the spot where she died and he rediscovers her. An accident with him causes Dr.X to send Wolverine and Storm to the same location. They find an unconscious Jean.
Meanwhile, a cure for the mutants has been found. The source of the cure being another mutant, whose power is to 'de-mutanize' any mutant around him. The mutant community is enraged and Magneto and his forces try to wage a war against the humans.
Jean is brought back to the labs and her condition watched. Dr.X explains that the mental condition that Jean is in, which if let uncontrolled would destroy her and everyone about. Wolverine doesn't believe him and after a passionate encounter, allows Jean to escape. Dr.X tries to get Jean back at the same time as Magneto does. And in the process, Dr.X dies and Magneto takes Jean for his evil purposes.
In the end, the X-men fight against the other evil mutants and save the world and the mutant cure. On the whole, an interesting movie - lots of twists and turns. Worth a watch.
