Kannan en kaadhalan

Makkal thilakam, puratchi nadigar M.G.Ramachandran, puratchi thalaivi Jayalalitha, Muthuraman, Vanishree, Ashokan, 'Cho' Ramasamy, O.A.K. Thevar, Rama Prabha, Gandhimathi and others act in this movie. Music by M.S.Vishwanathan.
Kannan is the adopted son of a retired Captain. Sundar is the real son. Mallika is the niece of this rich man, who is engaged, at birth to Sundar, who currently studies in a foreign country. But she is secretly in love with Kannan, with whom she spends much of her time.
Malathi is the daughter of the secretary of a rich widow. Having lost her father in an accident, she now lives with the widow as her adopted daughter. Malathi and Kannan fall in love.
Sundar returns home. His behaviour towards both Malathi and Mallika is not appropriate. Kannan reprimands him and Sudar gets mad to get Kannan thrown out of the house.
Malathi and Kannan's marriage gets fixed. As they are coming to Captain's house, Mallika rushes out and in an accident, injures her legs. The marriage is stalled until her recovery. But she never recovers and becomes a cripple. Sundar then refuses to marry her. Mallika confesses her love for Kannan and he is forced to marry her and forget Malathi.
Malathi thinks that it is because of her that Kannan is not living happily with Mallika and decides to get married. She tells this to the rich widow's family doctor, Mr.Singh.
Singh ends up advertising the marriage. Malathi is enraged and when Singh tries to take advantage of her, Kannan helps her out in disguise. With some manipulation, some truths about Mr.Singh, Mallika and Malathi's past is revealed. In the end, Malathi and Kannan end up together.
A very soggy story which wasn't well paced. The main story seemed to be falling with a different character compared to how the movie ended. It seemed like the movie was all over the place. Tolerable to watch with 2 memorable songs - paaduvor paadinaal and min mini pole.
