avvai shanmugi

Starring Padmashree Kamal Hassan and Meena in the lead with Gemini Ganesan, Manivannan, Nagesh, Delhi Ganesh, Heera Rajagopalan, this K.S. Ravikumar movie is a well - done tamil adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire.
Kamal is a meagrely paid choreographer. He loves Meena and she asks him to talk to her father. The talk doesn't go well and they elope and marry. The married life doesn't go well as Meena's father is a rich businessman and the new lifestyle isn't likeable for her. The only thing that kept them going was their little daughter. One day, listening to her father, Meena files for her divorce and the couple separate, even though Meena still loves him.
When Kamal sees an ad for a nanny for his child, he gets the makeup artist, Nagesh to tranform him to an orthodox Brahmin nanny. Even though, he doesn't make it through the interview, an accident gets him the job. After this begins the whole series of misunderstandings, humour, fights and jealousies, enough to keep us glued to the movie until the end.
A hilarious movie and a masterpiece by K.S. Ravikumar and Kamal combination.
