Mulan

This story is set in historic China. A time when there was warring between the different clans.
Mulan is a village girl, set to please and bring honour to her parents. But is failing miserably. When another clan attacks the kingdom, the king orders a man from every family to serve. Seeing that her father was not strong enough to take up the orders, Mulan dresses up as a man and joins the army. Physical fitness can't be achieved overnight, especially for a woman to match up to a man, but things work out well.
Her friends - dragon and the lucky cricket create a message for these newly trained soldiers to join them for the war. Along the way, Mulan's quick thinking buries the invading army in the snow. But along with it, it is also discovered that she is a woman. The commander is disappointed and deserts Mulan.
As the troop is being celebrated in the city, Mulan discovers the invaders are not dead and tries to warn them but they don't listen. The emperor gets kidnapped. Now the troop follows Mulan's plan and the emperor is rescued. All ends well.
Character to look out for is the mini dragon - hilarious! and also the parts where the troop men display their manliness, with Mulan around. A good show..
