Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, this was probably the most popular makeover movie. Roberts fame grew much more after this movie too, said some reviews.
A 'Hollywood' hooker, Vivian, finds her way into a rich man's, Edward's life, whose romantic bit is in shatters. She captivates him and pays her to stay with him for the whole week. Viv goes through a makeover into a beautiful urban woman, which makes her look stunning. At the end of the week, Edward is unable to promise Viv a relationship, for she has fallen in love with him. Just at the last minute, a change of Edward's heart and all ends well.
A typical chick flick but performances by both Roberts and Gere is commendable and makes the movie worthwhile to watch.
